Job Overview

As a Supervisor - Programmatic Trading, you will play a critical role in the establishment and success of our new programmatic media trading desk within the media department of a creative advertising agency. You will be responsible for executing, managing, and optimizing programmatic media buying across a variety of campaigns and platforms. Your expertise in programmatic trading, along with your strategic thinking and creativity, will contribute significantly to the growth of our agency's digital capabilities. You will be accountable to the transfer to and activation of all existing campaigns within our self service platform. You will act as the primary point of contact (internal/client) for strategic and tactical media management inquiries.

  • Implement and manage programmatic media buys across multiple campaigns and platforms, ensuring effective and efficient ad placements
  • Build and lead a new programmatic trading team, helping to train and manage junior team members on all aspects of programmatic buying and related deliverables
  • Establish best practices, build case studies, and design/implement process to create workflow efficiencies across the practice
  • Collaborate with the strategy, media and creative departments to develop programmatic buying strategies that align with client objectives and campaign goals 
  • Build and maintain relationships with data, inventory, and platform partners with the intention of enhancing the overall in-house service 
  • Analyze campaign performance data to optimize bidding strategies and targeting tactics
  • Leverage insights to make data-driven decisions and improve campaign performance
  • Ensure all campaigns are executed with high regard for privacy and security through best practice data handling and delivery methodologies 
  • Maintain a deep understanding of programmatic platforms and technologies, staying up to date on industry trends and advancements
  • Help to increase the knowledge and understanding of programmatic trading within the broader agency
  • Work closely with clients to understand their marketing objectives and provide insights and recommendations based on campaign performance
  • Deliver meaningful campaign insights, campaign performance details and updates on industry advancements 
  • Collaborate with creative, account, and strategy teams to ensure cohesive and integrated campaign execution
  • Manage budgets and pacing, ensuring that campaigns are delivered effectively and efficiently

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in programmatic media buying and ad trading 
  • Experience within pharmaceutical and/or healthcare environment highly preferred
  • Management expertise and extensive knowledge/capability in programmatic platforms (E.g. Trade Desk, MediaMath, doubleclick, facebook exchange, bluekai, exelate, doubleverify, Experian, ad choices, liveramp 
  • Expertise in campaign data management 
  • Proficiency in data analysis and using tools like Google Analytics 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with ad verification tools and viewability metrics is required
